Tinkering Builds the Brain

Imagine creating something out of nothing that is both beautiful and useful. This is innovation. Tinkering plants the seeds of an innovative mindset in young children.

Tinkering is for all ages. Infants are born curious. Have you ever noticed how the packaging of a new toy is just as interesting to a toddler as the toy itself. How does it feel? What happens if I squeeze it. Tinkering is about questions and exploring the possibilities.

Preschoolers enter into a world of symbolic play and can start to design their own tools and toys. Set out a variety of recycled materials, craft supplies, glue and tape. Step back and watch what happens!

Tinkering nurtures creative problem-solving and lays the foundation for innovative ideas that will design a future filled with hope and possibility.
